Nothing can escape when the micro jigs hit the water.

Micro Mercenary and Sumo jigs - 10g and 15g

Welcome to the world of precision and performance with our Micro Submission Jigs, meticulously crafted for the hardworking angler. Designed with your practical needs in mind, our jigs will reward your skill and tenacity, whether you're out on the local lake or braving the choppy waters of the bay. Perfect for freshwater or saltwater, whether in the bays, lakes, or inshore.

"I am still a believer that "color doesn't matter" as much as the action and getting the jig in front of the fish, BUT, I am starting to find that the "silver shinies" (Bream Dream and Stellar Shad) seem to produce better in bright, sunny conditions, and Orange Pumpkin seems to be the better producer in low light/nighttime conditions, and the Rainbow Roll performs generally well in all conditions, especially deeper water structure like rockpiles in 15-20' (I use it as my backup when the others are not producing as I'd expect during the respective conditions, and it seems to do well coming off the bench in that role...). "

    The Mercenary

Whether you're casting out on a boat for pelagics, vertical fishing for bass of the docks, or casting from shore, like a mercenary, this jig can strike fish from anywhere. This jig's unique shape produces a fluttering, twirling action on the fall and an erratic swimming action on the retrieve. It can be fished vertically or cast and retrieved. It’s the ultimate dying baitfish imitator, and greedy fish won’t be able to resist.

    The Sumo:

The versatility of the Sumo is that when it's tied on the eye side, the heavy belly of the jig will slide through the water underneath docks, pilings, and other hard to reach places.  When tied from the belly side, it will have a more traditional vertical fall. With a wobbling, leaf-like action, the squat, round-belly shape of this jig falls into the depths of the ocean to entice saltwater bay bass as well as many others. The Sumo's compact design also allows you to use a heavier jig in a smaller presentation for precision fishing.

Each jig is equipped with sturdy BKK assist hooks, UV tassels, and heavy-duty split rings, ensuring durability that stands up to the rigors of your fishing adventures. All colors are available in 10g and 15g sizes.

    • Be the king of the bass with the Bream Dream jig. This color was designed with freshwater in mind, but can be fished anywhere you use your trusty Sumos and Mercenaries. Don't go fishing those bays and lakes without it.
    • Amp up your game with our Rainbow Roll jig, featuring eye-catching rainbow foil and glow stripes that lure in fish with old-fashioned charm. This jig boasts a glow-in-the-dark feature for added practicality.
    • Embrace the timeless appeal of our Stellar Shad jig, meticulously crafted to mimic the shad baitfish you've come to trust. With its no-nonsense silver and chrome design, this jig is a staple in any fisherman's tackle box.
    • Hook into success with our Orange Pumpkin jig, expertly designed to imitate the bluegill freshwater baitfish. Featuring durable orange foil and black edges, this jig is as reliable as they come.

Get your black belt in fishing

During the 2020 lockdowns, Mike Muto, a lifelong angler and black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, found himself perfecting his slow pitch jigging in San Diego’s bays, only to be frustrated by subpar jigs. Determined to find a solution, he launched Submission Fishing Co., crafting jigs that could handle everything from bass to bluefin. Drawing inspiration from martial arts, where practice and precision lead to victory, Submission Fishing’s jigs are designed to help you master the waters and secure that big catch, no matter the conditions.

    FAQs

    - Usually, tie the line on the eye side of the jig. We recommend if you’re going to tie directly to the jig, tie onto the split ring. If you’re going to use a clip or snap, tie onto the clip and attach it directly to the eyelet.

    - A good rule of thumb is 1 gram per 1 foot of water. This is just a base line, and there are many other variables to consider, but this will get you started.

    - Any predatory fish, freshwater or saltwater. Inshore/bay/surf/freshwater examples are: sandbass, pompano, perch, redfish, largemouth bass, speckled trout. Nearshore/ offshore/ kelp beds: calico bass, amberjack, yellowtail, dorado. Offshore: rockfish, tuna, grouper.

    - Slow pitch jigging is designed to maximize the action of the jigs: the flutter down mimicks the actions of injured prey and attracts more bites from a greater variety of fish than other more passive styles of fishing.

    - It is also known for being effective in deeper or tougher conditions, and allows fishermen to experience the joy of the technique, making it a popular choice for those who appreciate the art and skill of fishing.

    - Yes! Cast the jig and let it flutter down for a while before retrieving. Slowly pop it and bounce it through the water column as you reel towards you. Wind up and repeat.

    - Our jigs are very durable and won’t rust or fall apart after one use. They are lead material with a through wire from nose to tail which keeps them from breaking in a fight. The hooks are heavy-duty BKK hooks that won’t rust with normal use (though we recommend a good rinsing after a hard day at sea.)

    - No matter which jig weight class you’re fishing, a slower, more parabolic rod is key to maximizing your efforts and the jig’s unique qualities.
